For my first week I kept things fairly simple and easy for me. I really enjoy watercolors so I thought what could be a better first "big" project than a watercolor painting. I wanted to make something "witchy" like, so I made some shelves with some jars holding various items. On top of the painting, I have been doing sketches every night, mostly just sketching trying to work on anatomy, mainly hands. I want to improve on drawing people so getting down basic anatomy is my first step in do that.
I posted my painting on my Instagram, I only have one follower (thanks Mr. Barker) but hopefully that will change soon. I love working with watercolors and messy line art, everything is therapeutic. I love how I can add details and layer with watercolor. I didn't really touch on anything digital, but I plan on working on doing something with that this week.

For my Genius Hour Project I want to be able to improve my art skills and possibly get to the point of being able to make a profit off of my art. Over the next 12 weeks my goals are to do at least a 5-minute sketch every day and hopefully a handful larger art projects. An ambitious goal for me is to be able to get to the point to sell prints of my art or take commissions for people. I will be rebooting an old Instagram account where I used to post my art and hopefully be able to gain a platform for myself again. I will be trying various forms of art over the next 12 weeks to see what I may enjoy more. Hopefully I will regain a love I used to have while also improving in art!
